Calling all birders! The Eagle Creek Ornithology Center is offering a hands-on advanced eBird workshop on Wednesday June 21st aimed at educating the public on the many useful tools eBird can offer to the global birding community at large. This will include step-by-step demonstrations on how to best use eBird across different platforms (smart-phone/tablet and Desktop/laptop), as well as the many additional data analysis tools eBird has to offer!. Through this workshop you will learn how to easily keep track of the birds you’ve seen throughout your birding career, as well as how to best use the lesser known features eBird has to offer. Some of these features include how to submit checklists, view species population trends, recent sightings, seasonal species trends, uploading photos and more! We will also offer a short demo using eBird while viewing birds from the feeder room!

The workshop will be located at the Eagle Creek Ornithology Center, and will be held from 5:30pm-7:30pm, on 6/21/2023. All participants will need to create a personal eBird account (which is totally free) prior to attending, as well as bring a charged smart-phone, tablet, or computer. The entire class will be offered within the Ornithology Center.

Pre-registration is required. There is a $10 sign-up fee for all adults over 19 years old attending the program. All participants under 19 can attend for free with a registered adult! Park admission included. Register here: http://apm.activecommunities.com/indyparks/Activity_Search/25198
