SUMMARY:Hamilton County May Bird Count
DESCRIPTION:Volunteer to help Hamilton County Parks and Recreation and the Indiana Audubon Society as we count birds throughout our county. This annual count takes place on International Migratory Bird Day and the results are a valuable tool in tracking bird populations throughout the United States. Bird watchers of different skill levels will be paired together and assigned to various areas of the county. After the morning festivities\, an optional lunch will be provided in the Cool Creek Nature Center. \nThis event is free though Pre-registration is required. \nRegister by calling 317-774-2500 or emailing amanda.smith@hamiltoncounty.in.gov

DESCRIPTION:Join Scott Enochs\, warbler identification enthusiast and field trip chair\, for an ABAS crash course in warbler identification. For anyone who is interested\, we will go out looking for warblers in the park following the workshop.  The workshop will be 12:30 pm to 2:30 pm followed by a hike from 2:30 pm to about 4:00 pm.  Registration is encouraged for this free workshop.
