The day will begin at 8:00 am with a bird walk led by Chuck Anderson\, president of ABAS. After the bird walk\, discover more about the flora and fauna that live on and visit University’s land at our Nature Expo. DESCRIPTION:HELLO BIRD LOVERS!\n\n\n\nBird Safe Indy is hosting training for bird window strike victim data collection/bird rescuing for the Bird Safe Indy (fka Lights Out Indy) initiative of the ABAS here in Indianapolis. August 15 is the start of our fall survey season and it runs through November 15. We need all the help we can get in documenting window strikes!\n\n\n\n\nThey will be meeting in front of the Indiana Department of Correction (302 W Washington St) for demonstrations that may last up to an hour. This will include some walking around nearby buildings. The best viewing will be 8:30 to 9:30. \nThere is parking on the street outside the building or lot at Woodlawn Ave. just north of the building right off of Woodlawn and Virginia. Go to the side of the theatre building near Kuma’s Korner restaurant to find a building entrance door and hall with elevator. Take the elevator to the top floor.
