SUMMARY:Bird Walks in the Nina Mason Pulliam EcoLab
DESCRIPTION:The Nina Mason Pulliam EcoLab is a wonderful place to bird watch\, with over 165 different species sightings being recorded since 2002. No experience is necessary\, and the hike will be led by one of the bird experts at Marian University. The only things that are necessary are binoculars and a little bit of patience! \nWe will meet at the St. Francis statue just west of the Allison Mansion on the Marian campus at 8:00 am . SUMMARY:Southside Bird Hike Old Town Waverly Park and the White River Greenway Trail
DESCRIPTION:Looking for a new bird hike on the south side of Indy? Then please join ABAS Education Chair and experienced birder\, Jessica Helmbold\, for a bird hike along the White River Greenway Trail from Old Town Waverly Park in Morgan County. The hike will take place on Sunday\, May 18\, 2025 from 8:00-10:00 am. \n   This is a hidden birding gem that offers amazing views as the trail winds along the White River. If lucky\, you can catch a glimpse of the Bald Eagles nesting on the other side of the river. Also look for late migrants and birds that usually nest along rivers and streams such as Orioles and Prothonotary Warblers. \n   The hike is limited to 15 people\, is open to anyone\, but ABAS members will have priority until May 1. Participants are to meet at the trailhead parking area at Main St. and Wetzel St. in Martinsville.
