SUMMARY:Lebanon Business Park Sparrow Field Trips
DESCRIPTION:Join Scott Enochs as he leads you on a field trip to a local hot spot in search of resident sparrows. Our target sparrows will be Song\, Field\, Swamp\, Lincoln’s\, Vesper\, White-throated\, White-crowned\, Nelson’s\, and LeConte’s. Participants will have their choice on which day to attend\, but space will be limited to 10 people each date\, and each participant may only attend one of the dates. There are two dates – Saturday and Sunday. \nWe will meet in the southwest corner of the Trader’s Point Dick’s Sporting Goods\, located at 6030 West 86th St and carpool. The parking is limited at our destination. We will be walking through tall weeds and grass and through muddy areas\, so please dress accordingly. Terrain will be uneven as well as there are no trails. We will spend approximately two hours in the field\, longer if desired. This is a free event\, but REGISTRATION IS REQUIRED by contacting Scott at (317) 850-4801. Be sure to note which date you wish to attend and include the names and contact information of all participants. If you have any questions\, please contact Scott at the number listed above.

SUMMARY:Wetland Birding Workshop at Muscatatuck NWR
DESCRIPTION:Join ABAS Education Chair\, Jessica Helmbold\, for a workshop on wetland birds at Muscatatuck NWR. It will be a half day workshop ending with  lunch at the visitor center around 1:00 pm. If you’d like to stay for lunch\, please bring a brown bag or cooler lunch. \nMeet at the visitor center at 9:30 am. Alternatively\, if you’d like to carpool\, meet at 8:00 am in the Wal-Mart parking lot located at 1133 North Emerson Ave in Greenwood. Go to the side of the parking lot near the right side entrance. \nPlease remember to dress for the weather\, wear comfortable walking shoes\, and bring any hats\, bug spray\, and sunscreen you need.
