Join us this May for a discussion with Dr. Kamal Islam—Professor of Wildlife Biology at Ball State University. Dr. Kamal Islam has been conducting research since 2000 focused on investigating factors that may be contributing to the decline of Cerulean Warbler breeding populations in southern Indiana. He and his students have conducted baseline studies on distribution, relative abundance, and characteristics of territories, including spacing, song perch selection, and vocalization behavior. Currently, they are focused on breeding biology and the effects of past silvicultural practices on Cerulean Warbler abundance. He will be presenting the findings of his research during our program.
