ABAS has no scheduled field trips in December; however, we encourage everyone to sign up for at least one of the Central Indiana Christmas Bird Counts listed below. This long-running citizen science program, which began in 1900, offers a fun opportunity to contribute to important conservation work. The data collected helps biologists and wildlife agencies monitor the health of bird populations, identify declines, and develop strategies to protect birds, their habitats, and the environment.
