Join Wes Homoya for a downtown bird strike walkabout on the morning of Friday, October 24. The meeting place will be the corner of Market Street and Alabama Street at the northeast side of the City-County Building. This walk will last approximately 1.5 hours (1-2 miles of walking) and will highlight both “problem” buildings and the most offensive windows/areas of individual buildings with regard to bird strikes. Attendees will also be shown buildings, building designs, and window solutions which minimize bird strikes. 

This is a unique opportunity to understand all facets of window-strike bird morbidity/mortality in a more visceral way than just seeing or reading about the problem. The program is limited to 15 participants and prior registration is preferred.
