We need your help!

The Eagle Creek Park Advisory Committee is working to protect the park from damage due to the LEAP project in Lebanon.  New information from Lebanon Water Company reveals that they plan to discharge all the wastewater, up to 100 million gallons per week, from this project into the northern area of the reservoir at Eagle Creek, where mudflats appear in the late summer and fall. These mudflats support many migratory birds as they are resting and feeding on their migration south. Resident birds also feed on these mudflats. This water may contain heavy metals, drug residuals and human hormone supplements which are not removed by treatment plants. Other contaminants may be present in the water in the future as more industries build at this site.   At times, most or all, of the water in the north end of the reservoir may be wastewater, especially if there are low rain or drought conditions.
