On Saturday, September 16th at 8:00 am, 18 birders gathered at Marott Woods Nature Preserve in Indianapolis for a bird hike. The hike was led by ABAS members Chuck Anderson, Becky Lomax-Sumner and Becky Heck.
On May 13th, 2023, ten birders joined field trip lead Matthias Benko on hike through Yellowwood State Forest.
What better way to participate in the Great Backyard Bird Count than to go birding in three Carmel-Clay parks.
Holliday Park, Indianapolis, is host for the monthly Amos Butler Audubon Society led bird walks. These take place on the third Tuesday of each month. On January 17, past ABAS President Rob Ripma led 12 birders on the 90-minute bird walk thru the park.
Seven diehard birders arrived at Washington Park in Michigan City for a morning of birding. The group was led by Scott Enochs, experienced field trip leader and Indiana Audubon Society board member.
